Luke 19:1-10
Note: As we open our Bibles to the book of Luke chapter 19, the earthly ministry of Jesus is well underway.
Note: As Jesus traveled to Jerusalem.
Note: He tells His disciples what would happen there.
Note: Luke 18 31-34
Note: Some thought that Jesus was going to Jerusalem to free the people from Roman bondage and usher in the kingdom of God.
Note: Others followed Jesus because they wanted to see another wonderful miracle.
Note: The focus of the Gospel of Luke is Jesus as the Son of Man.
Note: Yet, there is this wonderful declaration about the heart of God in Luke chapter 19 that we cannot miss.
Note: It’s in the context of Jesus meeting a man named Zacchaeus.
Note: Zacchaeus is someone that the children learn about in Bible storybooks. But his story isn’t just for children.
Note: It’s the wonderful difference that Jesus makes in a person’s life.
Note: It’s the seeking of Christ for the lost. His heart of compassion. His desire is that individuals would come to Him for eternal life.
Note: In our message this morning, I want to break it all down.
